Scylla Cloud is a fully managed Database as a Service (DBaaS) from ScyllaDB. Scylla Cloud runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) I3 instances which, when coupled with the performance of Scylla Enterprise, enables scalable and performant real-time applications. Scylla Enterprise is a NoSQL database API compatible with Apache Cassandra, but delivers up to 10X the performance of other Cassandra implementations.
New Features
Scylla Cloud is continuously enhanced with new capabilities. In this May 2019 update, Scylla Cloud now includes the following features:
- Two Factor Authentication (2FA) – You can enable 2FA on your Scylla Cloud account by selecting Account Settings (in the upper right of your screen) and then
TWO FACTOR AUTHENTICATION
Note that the Google Authenticator app is required at this time.
- Multi-Data Center Clusters are now available. Please contact the Scylla Cloud support team at: [email protected] or your ScyllaDB sales contact to have the Scylla Cloud Multi-Data Center clusters created. Once you have the feature enabled by our cloud team, you will see a Multi-Data Center Cluster page. For example:
Scylla Enterprise Release Information
Scylla Cloud now uses Scylla Enterprise 2019.1.0, the latest stable release of Scylla Enterprise. As new Scylla Enterprise releases become available, ScyllaDB will upgrade your cluster for you.
