Senior Software Engineer in Test - for Scylla Cloud

About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Software developer In Test with writing tests for both front-end and back-end. , who is passionate about testing complex distributed systems, and has the ability to develop both tests and infrastructure features.

At ScyllaDB you will get a chance to work with some of the smartest engineers in a company that is open-source driven fully remote and distributed.


Responsibilities:

  • Developing a variety of automated tests for Scylla Cloud
  • Building and maintaining automated tests using Cypress and other relevant testing frameworks to ensure the quality stability and reliability of the product. 
  • Writing tests such as integration tests, regression tests, performance tests, and many more. 
  • Own the testing automation for Scylla Cloud - developing, maintaining, and executing Frontend and Backend end-to-end tests.
  • Investigating test failures

Requirements


  • At least 3 years of Javascript/Typescript development experience
  • 2+ years experience in automation development on Playwright/Cypress or equivalent frameworks.
  • Understanding and developing according to OOP principles
  • Experience in the development of Linux
  • Knowledge of Git source control
  • Experience with AWS/GCP Cloud, Virtualization, and containerization infrastructures - Advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in Python development - Advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience with Selenium or additional testing automation platforms - Advantage.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent area - Advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English 
  • Passionate about testing, self-learner, and highly organized
