About The Position

We’re seeking a seasoned Sales Executive to lead our EMEA team. You will be our first sales leader to manage and drive our international business and expansion. You are a team builder, coach, revenue driver, strategic thinker, and leader with demonstrated success in recruiting and training teams to deliver results that exceed expectations. Your experience includes both start-ups and large enterprises. You have experience leading teams selling infrastructure software. A background that includes open source software, SaaS, and subscription based sales models, ideally with a developer-led sales motion, is preferred. 

  • You are known as a leader and a coach and will do whatever it takes to achieve success through your team while delivering a great customer experience. 
  • We’re searching for a leader who has both the energy and drive to scale the company, as well as the experience to bring in best practices that deliver results. You will be reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.

  • The RVP Sales, EMEA will be based in Europe or Israel and provide leadership, strategic planning, and direction for the EMEA sales team. This position will lead sales activities and work closely with other key departments to achieve business objectives, while driving the team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. This leader must be able to inspire and mentor others, coaching them to continually improve as sales professionals.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaboration with the CRO, develop and implement a regional sales strategy within key geographic and target market areas and drive a quarterly and annual plan that accelerates growth in the region
  • Create and communicate sales goals and ensure senior leadership is regularly updated on the progress of those goals and any associated blockers
  • Establish and achieve sales objectives by developing, forecasting, and driving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for regions and territories
  • Screen, interview and hire new employees within the EMEA sales organization
  • Train, motivate, and manage individual contributors to create a high-performing sales team. Provide mentoring for team members to create a pathway for success and promotion. Provide continual feedback on performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers at the senior-level, while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs
  • Understand industry-specific trends and competitive landscapes
  • Work closely with colleagues on cross-territory opportunities

Requirements

  • 8+ years in sales leadership at market-leading technology companies
  • Proven ability to understand complex technology, discuss product roadmaps, and engage with product and marketing managers
  • Metrics-driven with ability to analyze data to achieve business outcomes. Some of the data should include: Demand/Lead generation, Pipeline forecasts and trends, Conversion rates, Target accounts, Market segmentation, Individual contributor performance, MEDDIC/MEDDPICC
  • Track record of success exceeding sales goals and accurately managing sales forecasts 
  • Experience managing a high-performing sales team selling infrastructure software
  • Self-starter with proven success as a sales leader
  • Strong negotiating skills and the ability to teach others 
  • Proven ability to motivate/mentor individuals and a sales team 
  • Ability to remain calm at all times in a fast-paced work environment and to demonstrate thoughtful leadership in assessing problems / opportunities and recommending an approach to solve those problems and pursue identified opportunities 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with management and cross-functional teams
  • Lifelong learner who’s passionate about continuous improvement, with high expectations both personally and for the team
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the EMEA region and to the US headquarters when it is allowed, appropriate, and safe 
  • Proficient using G Suite and Salesforce, particularly enforcing strong Salesforce hygiene  
  • Technical background preferred
