Release Notification for 16 September 2019

A bug in both ScyllaDB Enterprise and ScyllaDB Open source, #4786, was recently resolved.

Issue description

This resolves a bug which caused ScyllaDB to crash on rare cases while reading old SSTable (ka/la) file formats. The root cause is a bug in sstable reader which makes it present data of the next partition as belonging to the previous partition in some rare cases. Only users using range deletions would be affected by this problem.

Recommended Updates

Users are strongly recommended to update their ScyllaDB installations to the latest versions that resolve this defect.

More information about other bugs fixed in each of these releases, as well as installation instructions, can be read in each of the specific release notes.
