Director Of SDR

About The Position

As the Director of SDRS, you will manage, train, and grow the Sales Development Representative (SDR) team. You will drive the team to meet daily and weekly activities that will ultimately result in generating new pipeline revenue by qualifying relevant leads and scheduling prospect calls/meetings for the ScyllaDB sales teams. Your responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting, training, and directing a team of SDRs responsible for inbound and outbound lead activities and engagements
  • Managing inbound lead flow, tracking efficiency, and reporting results of sales and marketing programs
  • Driving outbound lead acquisition and evaluating the effectiveness of outbound messaging and activities 
  • Continually updating and refining the sales pitch and processes to achieve optimum results
  • Establishing relevant metrics and assisting the team in boosting their performance by understanding areas of improvement
  • Developing and updating a Sales Development playbook
  • Participating in / presenting at weekly / monthly/quarterly Sales and company meetings 
  • Creating a fun, high energy, results-oriented environment where SDRs love to work
  • Working closely with the go-to-market team, and Sales and Marketing leadership, to ensure lead generation, pipeline, and top-line goals are met

The work is remote and possible from different areas in USA


  • 5+ years of B2B sales management or equivalent experience
  • Experience managing an SDR team
  • Experience driving outbound lead generation (calls, emails, InMails)
  • Self-starter with proven success as a sales leader
  • Proficiency using Salesforce.com and sales engagement platforms (like Outreach)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A lifelong learner who’s passionate about continuous improvement, with high expectations both personally and for the team
  • Technical background a plus
