Devops Team Leader

About The Position

Job Description:

At Scylla Cloud we deliver the strength of ScyllaDB in a fully managed database-as-a-service platform. We provide our service in numerous locations around the globe and support multiple cloud providers. Our platform is managing hundreds of nodes for known logos around the world, complying with challenging requirements with regards to performance, availability, resiliency, security and disaster recovery.

We are seeking an experienced Devops Team Lead to join our rapidly growing team and help us build a top-notch platform for a top-notch database. At ScyllaDB you will get a chance to work with some of the smartest engineers in a company that is open-source driven and fully remote and distributed.

Responsibilities:

Manage a global team of DevOps engineers
Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing AWS/GCP cloud based production system, to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems
Design and implement ScyllaDB cluster management automation flows including maintenance, elasticity, observability, recovery and resilience
Design and implement provisioning, configuration management, service discovery, load balancing, secret management, CI/CD workflows, geo distribution, security, compliance and budgeting aspects of our cloud infrastructure
Troubleshoot complex production scenarios supporting customers with strong SLA constraints

Requirements

Requirements:

At least 3 years of experience with managing a DevOps team in a SaaS/PaaS environment
At least 5 years of AWS/GCP experience (Networking, Compute, Object Storage, Provisioning, Security, etc)
At least 5 years of experience as Linux System Administrator
Strong familiarity with Scripting languages
Experience with managing a distributed infrastructure
Experience with CI/CD workflows and tools
Excellent writing skills in English. Ability to create large documents in a clear, concise, and structured manner
Ability to work independently and part of a team

Advantage:

Familiarity with Go programming language
Experience working with distributed databases
