At ScyllaDB we love providing a great experience for customers and prospective customers while creating awareness about the Scylla NoSQL database at tradeshows, conference sponsorships, meetups, roadshows, and our own user summit.

The Global Marketing Events Manager is responsible for event program planning, project management, and logistics from initial planning to post-event program follow up and reporting. We are seeking an energetic and outgoing candidate who can adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines in a high-pressure environment and has:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and project management skills
  • Excellent budget management, tracking and reporting skills
  • Demonstrable expertise in managing an events program that stands out from the crowd
  • Deep understanding of the logistics and production complexities of events
  • Expertise and comfort working with Creative, MarketingOps, Sales and SME teams

Your experience includes:

  • 3-7 years of experience in event/field marketing and project management in the B2B tech space
  • 2+ years of experience using Salesforce
  • Experience using a marketing automation platform (Marketo, Hubspot, etc)
  • 20-30% travel required for trade shows and other live events
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and budget management skills, with the ability to work across all levels and functions of an organization
  • Extraordinary attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and run multiple concurrent project demands within established timelines
  • Passion for results, measurement and optimization to continuously drive ROI
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
